Frequently Asked Questions

Why Cosmic Cottage?

Cosmic, as in vast, intense, immeasurable, frightening, incredible, overwhelming. These are all descriptors of the human experience. Cottage: a small and simple dwelling, often associated with the words “cozy, comfortable, warm, relaxed”. This is the type of environment I strive to create for my clients.

Do you offer in-person and/or virtual sessions?

Yes, and yes! I see clients for in-person services at 600 Round Rock West Dr. Suite 404, Round Rock, TX 78681. I also provide telehealth to Texas residents across the state.

How frequently will we meet?

Frequency of sessions is typically weekly, especially for the first 3-6 months. Frequency may decrease depending on your progress and individual needs.

How long does a therapy session last?

Sessions are 53-55 minutes long.

What is your fee?

My out-of-pocket rates are $120-$170, depending on client ability to pay. Upon your request, I can provide a super bill: an itemized receipt that you may submit to your insurance for potential reimbursement.

How do fees work?

In a therapy private practice, client fees are a balancing act. If you can afford and choose to pay more, you free up room for me to work with clients who cannot afford my higher range of fees.

Do you accept insurance?

I am in-network with Aetna, Cigna, BCBS of Texas, Optum, Oxford, Oscar, UMR, and United Health Care. I am in the credentialing process with Baylor Scott & White; this means that I am not currently in-network but should be in the next few months once I’m approved. For clients paying out-of-pocket, I can provide a super bill: an itemized receipt you may submit to your insurance for potential reimbursement

What should I know if I plan to use insurance?

Some insurance companies limit the number of sessions that they will cover. Using insurance to pay for sessions typically involves sharing diagnostic information and treatment details with the insurance company. Some clients may have concerns about the privacy of their mental health records and prefer to pay out-of-pocket for therapy to maintain greater confidentiality.

What types of payment do you accept?

Credit card, Debit card, HSA/FSA card, and cash (in-person clients only).

How do I take care of my mind and  body?

According to the NCBI, our gut produces about 90-95% of our body’s serotonin. Looking to improve your gut wellness while we work on your emotional and mental wellness in therapy?
